- Good Location in the city center near the metro. You can vistit alot of stuff by foot if you like walking.
- Still easy to find but it could be not for everyone.
- Great open room and nice bed. Also the bathroom and Kitchen. Bonus points for the towel; free of charge.
- They were very friendly and helpfull, tell you about things you could see etc..
- It's also cool that it's kinda of a apparement because of that there wasn't to many rooms it wasn't that too noisy and also you get a little feeling of living in budapest.
- Good Wifi had no problems
- the pillow was a little bit to small but I could be not for everyone a problem. but still it was okay.
- the only thing they could maybe be in better is to check the rooms at garbage. Well they did change the trashbin. But I mean the whole room as I came there was a "bag" next to bed I was going to sleep. I thought It might be from another traveller as it was near a suitcase. But the next day the other persons left so it wasn't of them. I take a peek and it was a bag full of garbage. So maybe check that more of often. And maybe also on the lockers. So the rooms look more cleaner.
Location was perfect, just in the middle of the commercial street. The staff was so friendly, especially Lucy. I had a really nice time there. Definitely recommend it!
Top location, facilities, and value for money. Mixed dorm is seperate on third floor with only five beds, so meeting new people is not the best. Good kitchen and bathroom very clean. Missing some signs of the hostel to find it easily, only a small sticker next to the doorbell which also is hard to find! and instructions are not really clear in email. put at least a A4 paper with an arrow somewhere...
Liked: A small, quiet and charming hostel where travellers are welcome and you are not part of the "mass production" like in bigger hostels. There are at least 20 different teas and coffees to choose from. The staff is friendly and helpful. The dorm room is just lovely, you can tell that the interior designer knew what travellers need: for instance, every bed has it's own reading light, shelves and a plug socket. The beds are seperated from each other with thick walls and are sturdy, so that you don't notice when the person above or below you moves around.
Disliked: There isn't anything I disliked.
Difficult to find if you're coming on odd hours, some sign would help greatly with this. At the entrance press hostel number on the interphone and wait (I failed miserably on that). They Had some clever ideas like the power sockets at the couchs, comfy beds, roomy spaces (a bigger kitchen would greatly help socializing). Only stayed one night as I was passing by, but I would go back on my trips to Budapest for sure. Keep the great work!
I felt very safe and comfortable at Best Choice Hostel. The staff were super friendly and told us about all the good places to visit, eat, and see in Budapest! We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to come back! 10/10 would stay again! Thanks so much!
The best choice is truely the best choice. I stayed there for 2 days and had an awesome experince. The rooms are clean, staff is super friendly and excelent location. Lavi is the owner and he was very helpful and guided us to the best attraction around Budapest. You can ask anything to Lavi and he will be there to help u. Hostel has very good crowd, i made some cool friends and we all enjoyed to most.
Its just a bit tough to locate the place as its bang in the center of the most happening street. So just call lavi and he will help u reach out there
Firstly, I stayed here because of the fail reservation in one of the highest ranking hostel in Budapest, which is a super disappointed experience. For more details, please read my previous passage.
And I came budapest from sofia@bulgaria. Unluckily the journey had been delayed for 2 hours due to traffic. I arrived budapest late,around 22:00 and it's raining. I had no means to contact the owner, Levi, I was late when I'm on the way to there. As I know he can't wait me for a unlimited time as i should be there at 20:00.
But luckily I could finally arrive there and a man just sitting in front of the door, he said: I am going to leave, I thought you are going to no show.
How lucky I am...........
And the place is big, clean, quite, well equipped and just exactly look like in the photos.
Levi is helpful and gave me suggestions on travelling in Budapest. I chatted quite a lot with him and he gets a lot of idea about the hostel. He will try to create a bigger common area for us! I will be back again for sure.
I booked for 5 nights at the beginning, but I changed my plan and went and stayed vienna for 2 nights. He just let me to store the luggage there and waive my 2 nights fee.
At last, I would like to book a airport shuttle, I gave the wrong information to the cs. And I need to call them back and clarify the details. Levi helped a lot on this case~

Liked: We stayed with my mother in a private room for two person. Very helpful and flexible staff, excellent location, big and cosy room. All in all hostel was clean and everything went better than we could've hoped for. Highly recommended!
Disliked: Nothing.
Liked: Great location, room was enormous (double room with ensuite). Good quality furnishings, comfy bed, not too loud at night. Great communication on email prior to arrival. Good recommendations of places to see and free map. Little kitchen if you want to prepare yourself any food/drinks - we only stayed one night so didn't use, but looked very clean.
Disliked: Was a little tricky to find at first as there is only a small sign on the notice board at the bottom of the stairs. Bigger sign would be good, but other than that no problems at all.
